I am a native to the desert who converted to the ocean's shore. However, it was there on dry, hot summer days, among the wild cactus filled landscape that I began to discover my creativity and love of simple subtle things. I spent hours lost in my own imagination; creating, playing, and looking for the unordinary. I would create scenes in my mind of how things should look with a certain piece of music, I spent all day making elaborate battle scenes in the mud in my backyard, I looked for adventure on top of my roof with a back pack and my parents torn bed sheets as a parachute (don't worry, I didn't jump). I went from wearing almost strictly costumes and begging my mom to paint my face each day, to asking for helicopter blue prints when I was five, to designing and making my own clothes in high school, and eventually formally studying design and photography. Now that I'm all grown up, I think it's frowned upon if I play in the mud all day with army men, but I found a new playground in photography where I can get lost and create a beautiful world through my camera. I take my years of observing the unordinary among the common and the subtle details to capture the passing moments. I am able to direct and compose, just like I always have...
